LAHORE: Six people, including two minor girls, were injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Mohalla Shamaspura near the Old Ravi Bridge in the Badami Bagh area early on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122, the family was sleeping when the roof of their house collapsed, burying all the seven members of the family under the debris. Locals and rescuers removed the debris to bring the trapped family out of it.

Rescue teams recovered Alisha, 3, Zeenat, 8, Asiya, 22, Asif, 33, Umar, 35, and Zainab, 49, and shifted them to the Mayo Hospital for treatment.

A rescue official said the house was not in a good condition and its structure was affected due to recent heavy rain.
