KARACHI: A teenage suspected gangster was shot dead in an ‘encounter’ off the Superhighway on Saturday, the SITE Superhighway Industrial police said.

They added that they had received information about presence of gangsters linked with Lyari near New Subzi Mandi.

As a police party raided their hideout, the alleged gangsters opened fire on the police, who returned fire as a result of which a suspect identified as 19-year-old Shabbir, alias Dairy, was killed while three other suspects managed to escape.
