KARACHI: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $21,770.5 million on June 17, 2016, the State Bank of Pakistan announced on Thursday.
Of the total reserves the SBP held $16,815.5m and commercial banks $4,955m.
During the week the SBP’s reserves increased by $270m to $16,816m compared to $16,546m in the previous week. It received $370m from multilateral, bilateral and other official sources, which include $107m from the World Bank.
The central bank made payments of $64m on account of external debt servicing and other official payments during the week, it added.
