PESHAWAR: The syndicate of University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, on the recommendation of selection board has appointed Dr Khizar Azam as registrar of the university.

Dr Khizar Azam has assumed his duties as permanent registrar of UET Peshawar, said an official statement issued here on Wednesday. Dr Azam with 21 years of teaching and research experience has his PhD in mechanical engineering and holds masters degree from George Washington University USA in engineering management.

Meanwhile, Professor Dr Iftikhar Hussain, vice-chancellor, UET Peshawar, has congratulated Dr Azam on taking charge as registrar and hoped that he being well aware of the working environment at UET would run the affairs with highest professionalism.
