LAHORE: The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) is launching an Education Research Cell as well as working on a plan to convert degree colleges into community colleges.

“In-service short-term training of university and college faculty members has been launched across the province to enhance teaching and communication skills of teachers. The PHEC is launching an Education Research Cell and is also working on a plan to convert degree colleges into community colleges,” said PHEC Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Nizamuddin.

He was addressing a one-week ‘In-service short-term training of university and college faculty members’ at the Centre for Educational Policy and Administration of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore on Monday.
