LAHORE: Punjab University students held a rally on the campus to press the administration to accept their demands on various issues.

Riding on donkey carts, students assembled under the banner of Islami Jamiat Tulaba. They demanded the varsity to ensure security on the premises, ensure polite behaviour of security guards with students, look into high mess fees and give laptops to brilliant students.

They further asked the administration to ensure hygienic conditions in hostels and provision of quality food in girls hostels.

PU’s IJT Nazim Usama Naseer said mobile and purse snatching incidents were taking place on the campus.

Some TV channels quoted the administration as saying that the protesters had political motives.
