KHUZDAR: A leader of the National Party and another person were shot dead in Khuzdar and Kalat on Tuesday.

Police sources said that Mir Allah Bakhsh, National Party Councillor of Union Council Hazar Gangi of Tehsil Naal, was targeted by armed men riding a motorcycle. Mr Bakhsh was killed when he was going home in Naal town.

“The leader of National Party received multiple bullet injuries and died in a hospital,” Naseer Ahmed Pirwani, Assistant Commissioner of Naal, said.

The cause of the murder was not known. Police have registered a case and are investigating. In another incident, Muhammad Anwar Nachari was shot dead by in Nachara area of Kalat district.

Levies officials said that the armed men shot dead Nachari when he was passing through the area.
