LAHORE: A sessions court on Monday awarded death sentence on two counts to two brothers on charges of killing their sister and brother in-law.

The convicts, Ahsan Butt and Zeeshan Butt, had shot dead their sister Saba and her husband Shafique in 2009. They had nurtured grudge against their sister for contracting marriage with Shafique against the family’s will.

On the day of incident, the brothers had invited the couple to their home on the pretext of reconciliation, but they gunned them down.
