PTI activist with support from quarters that matter... Have to empower local bodies... Devolution of power is the key... Such things will develop some awareness but will not resolve anything.. Salute to Alamgir. He showed the true face of our democratic leaders. Until the leaders learn the meanings of democracy: "of the people, by the people, for the people" (fixing public problems), democracy can't get roots in Pakistan. Somebody has to take the first step. There should be such campaigns in every big city in the country.

Rather than face off with Sindh govt why doesn't he and his team start cleaning drive by themselves like mustafa kamal started the project of 'I own Karachi' if he and PTI is really serious to go something on ground rather than media coverage only.

CM is right this guy has a political agenda and he is fully supported by PTI first he was campaigning on foot,all of a sudden he got brand new tractor trolley. As far as accumulation of garbage is concerned it began during tenure of MQM which was in LG but did not deliver to Karachiites only it agitates against Sindh Govt,and then U- turnings and took sides with Sindh Govt again .Still there is no word from MQM about garbage removal,all its energies are spent on hunger strikes to restore speeches of their leader.

If issue doesn't resolve after this then every citizen should dump his garbage can in front of CM house. Maybe then they will realize to clean the city.

@Philosopher (from Japan) Your point is valid but Mustafa Kamal was authorized and empowered to do so with adequate funds in pocket. However, he cannot have enough funds to carry out the job therefore what excellently he has been doing is giving a symbolic message to oppose laziness of sleeping govt. Appreciate whatever he has done so far for the benefit of us. We get one in years like him. We must show our support with efforts to him to strengthen him further.

I can observe one problem with all of us, Pakistanis, that we are far ahead and at number 1 to pass comments and criticize but as a citizen lazy enough to work for betterment of the country. A man, who came up with an initiative no matter to where he belongs, he is doing work for betterment of Pakistan and Karachi. We have made political parties our staple diet and something which is just like our sect now. For God's sake stop worshipping for the political parties and appreciate and choose ones who work for country and its fellowmen. Even, in US and Canada, isn't the current Govt. doing well? In Canada, didn't the previous govt. do well? The things which we are required to do is, judge who can do better and opt for him not make these political groups as a mafia to control us rather than we control them as a nation.

@Pakistani100 I think you should understand my words completely before giving counter argument and a little research on the topic will help. In mustafa kamal (I own Karachi) no govt funds were involved (even no private funds) all the participants were total volunteer and asked to give a couple of hours everyday to beautify Karachi with their selective expertise. For example if you choose to take care of trees and garden it required to give a couple of hours in your nearby park or tree plantation. By this way all karachiites can work together in different parts of Karachi. This guys looks just a publicity stunt. If he is serious, why they can't clean Karachi with the help of other friends? We always hear bad things about AH but I remember once he asked all MQM workers to sweep on roads and I personally witness the mayor of Karachi MPAs MNAs and all workers were cleaning the roads. P.s I am neither fan of AH nor the member of MQM but an independent observer of Pakistan's politics.
