HYDERABAD: A desk of the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme has been set up at the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI) with the aim of bringing non-filers into the tax net, said Federal Board of Revenue Management Chief, Yusuf Munir Shaikh on Monday.

Talking to members of the HCCI, he said a stronger tax net would allow problems of taxpayers to be resolved easily. He further said that services tax was 54pc of GDP whereas only 11pc traders were covered under the tax net.
