LAKKI MARWAT: A woman was killed for honour outside a courtroom in the judicial complex, Tajazai, here on Tuesday.

Reports said that the woman had come to the court of additional district and sessions judge in connection with hearing of a case. She was reportedly attacked by her brothers as soon as she came out of the courtroom.

The woman died instantly while the attackers were arrested by police. The body was later shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Lakki, for autopsy, while police were engaged in fulfilling legal formalities till filing of this report.

“To say anything about the exact cause of the murder at this stage is premature,” a senior police officer told Dawn, saying investigation into the incident after registration of FIR would bring the facts to light.
