It had been a long time since he last performed in different cities of Pakistan. The singer-actor (or is it the other way round?) has lately rocked Punjab by giving some electrifying performances in concerts.

He kicked off the tour on Nov 10 in Sialkot, followed by packed shows in Gujranwala and Sargodha. Another positive thing about these gigs is that Ali Z not only belted out his famous songs but also sang a few patriotic Pakistani tracks, including Dil Dil Pakistan, which charged the crowds mainly comprising the younger lot.

Good for him. Whoever thought that his stint in Bollywood had turned him away from his roots was wrong. Isn’t it?
