Education system

Published November 28, 2015

THE multiple education system has badly hurt the quality of education.

The Cambridge system is producing a lot of high quality students who get themselves easily admitted to the top medical and engineering universities and business schools. On the other hand, the Intermediate education system does not provide an acceptable quality of education to students as almost all of them depend on rote-learning.

In addition, they fail to get their admissions to reputable universities. Further, the students enrolled in madressahs are found lagging behind not only in modern scientific knowledge but also in basic learning skills essential for passing the primary level of examinations.

The current system of education has been producing three different categories of people whose outlook on life is greatly different from each other. The need of the hour is to evolve a single education system which must be based on merit and excellence.
