Friends of different kinds

THIS is regarding the cover article “Friends of different kinds” by Wajeeha Rehan (YW, October 17, 2015). The article was very nicely written, I really enjoyed reading it.

I agree with the writer that during the course of life, whether we are in school, college or university or anywhere else, we make friends with several kinds of people, some are bossy, some wild, some party freaks and our relationship with them goes on that way.

I think it is always best to know and understand the type of friends you have and enjoy your friendship accordingly.

Private school fee

EARLIER the government had announced that no private schools should raise their fees in the year 2015, but school fees were increased and this has put many parents in trouble.

Every parent wants their children to get quality education, but it has become very difficult for them to continue the education of their children as they can’t afford such high fees. Education has become a business where the profit is higher than usual.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan and the education authorities are requested to look into this matter and make schooling affordable for everyone.

I, a writer

THIS is with reference to the story “I, a writer,” by Asra Arshad (YW, October 17, 2015). The story was really awesome as it conveyed a great message to all the children who think copy-pasting a story or article is an easy way to acquire fame and success.

This is a very bad habit. It is always a brave effort by a person when they write things using their imagination and language skills. Their accomplishment lies in this, not in taking others’ work and giving it their own name. Cheating is always noticed and never pays.

II

THE story “I, a writer,” by Asra Arshad reminded me of one of my classmates who would do the same thing. He would copy-paste assignments and give it with his own name. He was caught by our teachers so he had to face punishment by getting zero in most of his assignments and his parents were also told about his plagiarism.

If one is weak in any subject, he/she should work hard. But there is no use of copying others’ work. There is no pleasure even if you get great marks, instead there is just the fear that you will be caught.

I hope children will learn from this story and try to write on their own.
