Pakistani jets garner interest at Dubai air show

DUBAI: Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) ,Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman said on Sunday that Pakistan has achieved remarkable successes in its war against terror despite limited resources and is being viewed as a role model in this regard.

Speaking to media at the inauguration ceremony of Dubai Air Show in United Arab Emirates (UAE), the PAF chief said that the successful conduct of the anti terrorist operations have improved the law and order situation in the country paving way for economic progress.

The Air Chief said that the participation of Pakistan Air Force in this Air Show is a matter of great pride for us and many countries in general and Islamic countries in particular have shown interest in the JF-17 Thunder aircraft.

Later on he also visited various stalls at the show and met with high ranking officials of the air forces of various countries including Air Vice Marshal, Ibrahim Nasser Mohammad Al Alawi, Commander UAE Air Force and Air Defence.

Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, were also present at the occasion.

According to PAF Spokesman, Super Mushshak aircraft of Pakistan Air Force has been put up for static as well as aerial display in the Air Show.

The Dubai Air Show was inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of UAE.

A large number of delegations from different countries including Air Chiefs of a number of Air Forces are participating in the event.

The Pakistan Pavilion in the event is set up by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra.
