Learning in the cyberspace

THIS is regarding the cover article “Learning in the cyberspace,” by Asif Ali (YW, October 3, 2015). The article was very informative. All the website discussed were of great importance and a big help for children in their academics; however, I would like to suggest to the writer to add more technology/tips related websites in his reviews as everyday something new comes up and high school children really need to know all the development, gadgets and technology related stuff to enhance their knowledge.

Crossword

YOUNG World is not like other magazines, it is really special. I have been reading YW for more than five years now and have found it to contain ideal content for children.

I would like to suggest to the YW team to replace ‘Word of the week’ with crossword puzzles or it would be really great if YW introduce a new section with crossword puzzle without replacing any; this way we will have more interesting content in the magazine.

A lesson well learnt

THIS is regarding the story “A lesson well learnt” by Maria Hyder (YW, September 26, 2015). It was a good story as it focused on children who often get scolded due to their mistakes. But I think it is the responsibility of a parent to understand what their children really need and try to teach their kids the right way of doing things rather scolding them.

Children can learn anything if parents show love and confidence. Mistakes are part of our lives but one should not sit and regret, instead we should learn from them.

I HAVE been reading YW since ninth grade and I have recently passed my Intermediate. It has always been a great treat on Saturdays but, at the same time, it is very upsetting to find the magazine contains a lot of advertisement with each passing week.

I request the YW team to reduce the number of ads as we readers want more content to read. Moreover, it would be much better if other articles like horoscope, interviews, classical novel reviews, etc., are included.
