PESHAWAR: A large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from tunnels in Bara, Khyber Agency, on Thursday.

According to an official statement, security forces seized 14.5mm mount with gun body, three heavy machineguns, eight Vikers guns, 60 Russian launchers, 19 small machineguns, four pistols, 185 RPG-7 rockets, 30 Mortar rockets (2.75 Mark 66), 101 RPG-9 rockets, 42 PG-9 rockets, 119 mortar rocket fuse (2.75), 1,655 RPG charges, 226 RPG-9 charges, 10 AGL rounds, 1,280 5.56mm rounds, 3,750 SMG rounds and 270 pistol rounds.

A cache of equipment and weapon accessories was also seized during the operation by security forces who have been conducting Operation Khyber-II in the region.
