Arguably the best footballer in the world right now alongside Argentina's Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo has materialised his desire to give fans an insight into his decorated life with the upcoming documentary “Ronaldo – Astonishing, Intimate, Definitive”.
The film, set to premiere in London on November 9, 2015, was produced by the makers of “Amy” and Senna” and its trailer has already gone viral on the internet.
“My aim with this documentary is to be who I am, objectively for my fans,” Dailymail quoted Ronaldo as saying.
“I'm so thrilled that the film will celebrate a global release on Monday 9th November and I can't wait to see everyone in London.”
The teaser starts with a shot of Ronaldo walking up to the Santiago Bernabeu pitch on his Real Madrid debut donning his number nine jersey. Filmed for over an year with unparalleled access into Ronaldo’s inner circle and his on field life, this is the first official and fully authorised film on one of the most popular figures in world sport.
“I think people will love watching this documentary because it's not fictitious or manipulated - it's something real,” said the 30-year-old winger.
This is the first time ever the world will be connected to the behind closed-doors life of the Portuguese footballing sensation who is a father, family-man and a friend in this emotional and fascinating documentary.
The film is tipped to give an extraordinary peek into the personal life of the triple Ballon D’ Or Winner.
In a part of the trailer Ronaldo says: “I am the best player in the world.”
“Until January,” he says after a pause and laughs, referring to the upcoming Ballon D’ Or award.
