Aisam to captain Pakistan in Davis Cup

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) on Thursday named ace tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi as the playing Captain for the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group II tie against Chinese Taipei.

Pakistan will featuring in the final of Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group II tie against Chinese Taipei on the hard courts of Ulusal Egition Merkezi Tennis Club in Izmir, Turkey, according to a press release issued here on Thursday.

The Pakistan team includes Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Aqeel Khan, Mohammad Abid, Ali Akber and Samir Iftikhar.

According to the draws Pakistan's Aqeel Khan will play his first match on Friday against Jui Chen Hung of Chinese Taipei while Samir Iftikhar will face Jimmy Wang of Taiwan.
