GHALANAI: A woman was killed and two other persons received injuries when unidentified assailants hurled hand grenades at their house in Mohmand tribal region early on Saturday morning.

The residents of the area said that unidentified assailants lobbed two hand grenades at the house of a local tribesman Zarghon Shah at Inzari Mian Gan locality of Dawezai early in the morning on Saturday.

The wife of Zarghon Shah was killed in the attack, they said. They added that other inmates including Zarghon Shah received injuries in the attack. The injured were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar in precarious condition. After the incident, security forces rushed to the site of incident and launched a search operation but no arrest was made till late night.
