Nasir Jamshed's unbeaten 62 helped Rawalpindi Rams seal a seven-wicket victory over Bahawalpur Region in the National Twenty-20 Tournament match played at Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Jamshed smashed eight fours and a six in his 36-ball knock and was also declared Player of the Match while Naveed Malik assisted the Pakistan international, scoring 51 runs on 43 balls including four fours and four sixes.

Wickets were hard to come by for the Bahawalpur bowlers but Kamran Hussain, Zahir Siddiqi and Faisal Mubashir picked up one wicket each in a comfortable Rawalpindi chase.

Earlier, Bahawalpur won the toss but failed to take off after electing to bat first.

Aamer Ijaz (33), Shahan Akram (15), Zahir Siddiqi (15 not out), Mohammad Yasir (12) and Waqas Khan (11) were the main scorers as Bahawalpur were restricted to 125/9 in their 20 overs.

Rawalpindi's Mohammad Amir stunned Bahawalpur batsmen with his superb bowling grabbing 3 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs.

Hammad Azam also took 2 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs.

Wednesday’s fixtures:
