The bromance between Fawad Khan and his Kapoor & Sons co-star Siddharth Malhotra has reached another milestone.
Siddharth has a nickname for Fawad, which is an inside joke between the two.
He calls his buddy 'Masla', a word Fawad uses a lot. The Urdu word is new for Siddharth who, according to Bollywood Life, has even saved Fawad's contact as 'Masla' in his phone.
In fact, when the duo were watching Bajrangi Bhaijaan in the cinema together, Siddharth let out a whistle upon hearing Nawazuddin Siddiqui say 'masla'.
Recently, it was learned that Fawad has been giving Urdu lessons to his Kapoor & Sons friends – Siddharth seems to be having the most fun of them all!

If Fawad Khan knows Punjabi, then the problem is solved. Siddharth is a typical Delhi Punjabi guy.

Good to see that Indo-Pak creative fraternity is working sensibly well unlike the political and bureaucratic counterparts of their respective country.

@Jaanaan Baloch - i think masla means "issue" not problem. All problems are issues, but not all issues are problems. Isnt it?

Masla is a common word in North India and I am sure Siddharth Malhotra, who is from Delhi knows its meaning too. It is just that Fawad Khan could be using this word bit too often that made Saddharth pick this word as his nick name. All in good fun.

Both India and Pakistan should learn lesson from this brotherly bond between Fawad and Siddharth .There should be no 'masla' between these countries as every problem should be solved by negotiations.'Masla' of any kind creates misunderstanding whether it is Indian 'masla' or Pakistani ,masla'.

Like many other words in urdu, mas'ala (meaning issue) is arabic, which is borrowed by farsi/urdu; and pronunciated in Urdu as mas-a-la.
The word being referred to as masla (meaning spice) by Indian friends is, in Urdu "masalha" with correct pronunciation being masaa-leha. wAllah aalam.

@Ajay vikram Singh : You are correct Ajay. I speak Urdu and Arabic fluently. 'Masla' is actually pronounced as 'Mas 'ala' in both the languages and it actually means 'issue' instead of 'problem'.
