It appears that people just can't come to terms with a male actor being moved to tears by a film. After his emotional reaction to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Aamir Khan got teary eyed once again at the private screening of Katti-Batti, reported NDTV. Twitter erupted in its characteristic cheekiness, and had a ball poking fun at the actor.

The rom-com, starring Kangana Ranaut and Aamir's nephew Imran Khan, touched the actor so much that he cried during the last 22 minutes of the film, as confirmed by the director Nikhil Advani: "It's a tearjerker. [In] the last 22 minutes, I literally had to sit and hold the tissue box for Aamir. He has copious tears!"

Twitter too had a lot to say on the matter:

Some went back to the tearful moments of Aamir's career:

Some revived old jokes to make a new one:

Others posed a serious question:

No Twitter round-up is complete without a healthy dose of puns:

Aamir, was that you?

The junta just won't let it go:

While the tweets make for a good laugh, we have to say that they're only perpetuating the 'boys don't cry' notion. A tearful actress would not spark the same kind of reaction. We feel it's okay for Aamir to express his emotions; we just hope he gets a better towel to dab away his tears next time.
