KARACHI: The Sindh Olympic Association will organise various sports events on Aug 14 as a mark of celebration for the Independence Day. An Executive Committee meeting was held on Friday at the SOA office at Panorama Center under the chairmanship of SOA president Usama Qadri who instructed All Divisional Olympic Associations including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larakana, Mirpurkhas, Benazirabad as well as the Provincial Sports Associations to organize sports activities and events to celebrate the Independence day in a befitting manner.

Sports events in badminton, boxing, cycling, handball, judo, taekwondo, wushu, weightlifting, netball, throwball, volleyball, sepaktakraw, baseball, softball and tug of war.

The dates and venues for the sports eve­nts will announced on Aug 12.
