With the release of upcoming comedy Karachi se Lahore right around the corner, the movie's Instagram account is being flooded with videos of the rich and famous showcasing their encouragement.

Who wouldn't want to watch a movie recommended by Imran Abbas, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Saleem Sheikh, among others?

Some of our favourite local stars may have moved to Bollywood but that doesn't mean they don't support the Pakistani film fraternity anymore!

Ali Zafar apparently can't resist item numbers.

Imran Abbas takes out the time to send best wishes while promoting his soon to be released movie Jaanisar.

No post about encouraging our movie industry is complete without a mention of Hamza Ali Abbasi obviously!

Pakistani movie makers should also take a chance and try and release this movie in India. In India, comedy movies with even unknown or lesser known names and low budgets have done very well- whether it be bheja fry, khosla ka ghosla, etc. When I say unknown names I intend to say, unknown faces for the Indian audience. Bol was one Pakistani movie that did well in India. But since then, I doubt any Pakistani movie has been released in India. Even Na Maloom Afraad, the highest grossing Pakistani film in recent times also was never released in India. Though some say that one of the reasons why Na Maloom Afraad was not released in India was its similarity with Hera Pheri. If there are no issues in terms of similarities in story lines, then the makers of Karachi se Lahore can take a chance in India
