PESHAWAR: Re-polling in the local government elections in over 360 polling stations across the province would be held tomorrow (Thursday) amid tight security.

The re-polling would be held in the polling stations where polling process was either stopped on May 30 or the polling was declared void by the concerned returning officers due to violence and mismanagement.

Re-polling would be held in 14 districts. Officials in the Election Commission of Pakistan told Dawn that re-polling would be held in 29 polling stations in Peshawar, 88 in Nowshera, 45 Charsadda, 42 Mardan, 17 Swabi, five Kohat, four Hangu, 70 Karak, 30 Bannu, eight Lakki Marwat, eight Dera Ismail Khan, seven Abbottabad, six Mansehra and one in Bunner district.
