GILGIT: The Gilgit-Baltistan administration on Sunday closed Kaghan-Naran road passing through the Babusar Pass to all kinds of traffic over security reasons.

A press release issued by Diamer duty commissioner Mohammad Usman, said only police and emergency vehicles could ply on the road at specified hours. According to it, vehicles from GB beyond Naran and from Islamabad beyond zero point of Karakoram Highway won’t be allowed after 4pm.

An official of Diamer police told Dawn the move had been taken in light of the security threats.
