QUETTA: Police have registered an FIR against unidentified accused for Sunday’s bomb blast at Meezan Chowk which left one person dead and over 15 others injured.

Officials at the City Police Station said the FIR had been registered under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act and other laws.

The man killed in the blast was identified as Saifullah who sold crockery on a pushcart at Meezan Chowk for years.

Police sources said several suspects were taken into custody in different areas during the search operation launched after the blast.

“The arrested suspects have been kept in different police stations for interrogation,” police said.
