QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly saved a huge amount of money during the financial year 2014-15, acting Speaker Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo said on Thursday.

Talking to Dawn, he said the assembly had saved over Rs151 million during the last fiscal year and deposited it back to the national exchequer.

“We maintained a policy of avoiding unnecessary spending of government funds,” he said. The assembly, he added, would continue its austerity policy during the fiscal year 2015-16.
