ISLAMABAD: The long awaited meeting of Departmental Selection Board of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) was held on Wednesday, in which over 60 officers of grade 18 of attached departments were given promotion in next grade.

Among them are 25 male and female Assistant Professors of Federal Government Colleges. The last meeting of DSB was held in January 2014.

“The promotions were due for long, and credit to these promotions goes to the secretary CADD because he has shown his personal interest and used good offices to this effect,” said Professor Tahir Mahmood of H/8 college.

The General Secretary FGCTA (local Unit H-8) Professor Mohammad Akram said, “Teachers are often given cold shoulder and a push back whenever their turn for promotion comes. The promotions were long overdue, and it’s a good step of CADD,” he said.

Talking to Dawn, Secretary CADD Khalid Hanif said around 60 officers of grade 18 of various departments such as FDE, PIMS, Poly Clinic and Special Education have been promoted to next grade.
