I FULLY endorse the views about the perils that the fishermen of India and Pakistan face at the hands of our officials. However, the marine security agencies are only performing their duty.
I appeal to the authorities concerned to visualise the suffering of the poor fishermen and their families, as a consequence of the fishermen being kept behind bars for months and sometimes years.
Only a straightforward direction to the marine security agencies will do the job and provide the fishermen relief.
