ISLAMABAD: Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad police has arrested four people involved in several cases of robberies and recovered cash, electronic items and valuables from them, police said on Tuesday.
SP Investigation Mohammad Ilyas had constituted a team to trace the culprits involved in robberies committed in the capital.
During investigation, the team succeeded to trace a gang which led to the arrest of its four members.
During preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to have had stolen two cellphones and an internet device from a house in G-7/2 on April 25, 2015. Similarly, they also confessed to having snatched cash and mobile phones and stolen buffaloes from cattle pens in Sihala and Lohi Bher, respectively.
Police also recovered 13 buffaloes from them.
One of the accused was also involved in pickpocketing and theft.
Meanwhile, Bhara Kahu police arrested three drug peddlers and seized hashish weighing 3.160kg and 120gms of heroin from them.
