KARACHI: A young man was gunned down in Napier area on Sunday allegedly by gangsters who had killed his elder brother a few years ago.

According to police, Nawaz Ali, 25, was shot dead on Siddiq Wahab Road. The suspected killer was sitting behind him on a motorcycle and fled on another motorbike after the crime, Napier SHO Azam Khan said.

He said Nawaz’s brother Ejaz had been kidnapped and gunned down by members of the Uzair Baloch gang over suspicion of being an informer.

The official said the motorcycle seized by police from the crime scene had been stolen from Tipu Sultan area. He said the police had no criminal record of the victim.

MAN FOUND DEAD: An expatriate Pakistani was found dead in his home in Kaneez Fatima Society and Sachal police believe he had been murdered allegedly by his son over a domestic issue.

Syed Mohammed Shafiq, 60, had arrived from the United States last month to meet his son Huzaifa who lives in Karachi, Sohrab Goth DSP Mohammad Khalid Khan said. The DSP said police had received reports that the youth was allegedly a drug addict and often quarrelled with his father. Police suspect that he poisoned his father with the help of his friends Shahid and Sharjeel. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
