SIALKOT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader and former governor Chaudhry Sarwar attended the funeral prayers of two lawyers on Tuesday in Daska who were killed by a police official.

After the funeral prayers, Mr Chaudhry told reporters the Punjab government had miserably failed to promote “good policing” in the province. He said the people were still terrified by the police here, as they were at the mercy of police to get justice. He said the Sharif Brothers had been there in power for the last 30 years but they had miserably failed to protect the people.

He added PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced a nation-wide agitation against the assassination of Daska lawyers.

He said the PTI would continue protest with lawyers till the provision of justice to grieved families.
