FAISALABAD: A seven-year-old boy was electrocuted in Ali Park, Jaranwala, due to the alleged negligence of Fesco employees on Friday.

Fesco Chief Executive Officer Rasheed Aslam has suspended Ahmran Babar, the line superintendent-II of the Faisalabad Road sub-division, and ordered a probe into the issue.

Reports said that Fesco employees were shifting a pole when a wire fell on a live system that activated the area supply.

The ill-fated boy, Hasan Amin, was present near a water pump in his house when he was electrocuted.

A two-member inquiry committee headed by Fesco chief engineer (operation) has been constituted which will submit its report in one day.
