ISLAMABAD: The Judi­cial Commission ext­e­n­ded on Wednesday for another year the tenure of Justice Athar Minallah of the Islamabad High Court and recommended elevation of 10 individuals as additional judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC).

The meeting which was presided over by Chief Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk considered and approved the extension of Justice Minallah. It endorsed the names of Sardar Ahmed Naeem, Mushtaq Ahmed Tarar, Shahid Mubeen, Farrukh Gulzar Awan, Erum Sajad Gul, Raja Mehmood Abbasi, Aslam Javed Min­has, Shehran Sarwar Chaud­hry, Muhammad Sajid Mehmood Sethi and Sardar Mohammad Sarfraz Dogar as additional judges for the LHC.

The recommendations will now be taken up by the Parliamentary Com­m­ittee in its meeting exp­ected to be called soon.
