KARACHI: Sakhi Hasan Gymkhana clinched the KCCA Zone VI ‘B’ Division League cricket title after pulling off a 44-run victory over Paposh Nagar CC in the final played at the Sakhi Hasan Gymkhana Ground here on Sunday.

Batting first, Sakhi Hasan Gymkhana made 214 before being all out in 33 overs. Syed Musawwar Hussain Zaidi was the main run-getter with exactly 50. He struck five boundaries and two sixes.

Other notable batsmen were Sarfraz Salahuddin (34), Zeeshan Akhtar (33) and Mohammad Imran (32), while off-spinner Sajjad Ali was the pick of opposing bowlers with three for 81.

Paposh Nagar CC, in their reply to the chase, were dismissed for 171 in 35 overs with Mirzam Khan contributing 38 and Mohammad Sharif 30.

Off-spinner Jahangir Khan snared four wickets for 61 runs with Abdul Haseeb taking 2-6.

The final was earlier inaugurated by chief guest Haji Nasrullah, the senior vice-president of Zone-VI, at a graceful ceremony which was also attended by Zone-Vi president Zia Ahmed Siddiqui, Azam Khan, Ejaz Khan and Ejaz Ahmed.
