KARACHI: Five more matches were decided on an action-packed day in the Red Bull Campus Cricket on Saturday.

At Sargodha’s University Ground, the hosts scored a narrow 20-run win over Punjab College of Commerce. Batting first, the hosts stuttered to 134 all out in 19.1 overs with Sana Bhatti scoring 51 before restricting the Punjab College of Commerce to just 114-8 in the allotted 20 overs.

Superior University were simply too superior for the University of Veterinary in a match played at Lahore’s Ali Garh Cricket Ground.

Batting first, SU posted a mammoth 216 for the loss of six wickets with opener Zeshan Ahmed hitting a belligerent 81 and Rizwan Ahmed making 58. University of Veterinary were then bundled out for 123 with Dilshan Ahmed grabbing a five-wicket haul.

In another match played at the Ali Garh Cricket Ground, Beaconhouse University outplayed IMS by a whopping 78-run margin.

Batting first, the Beaconhouse University posted an imposing 181 before sending IMS packing for 101.

Over at Peshawar’s Islamia College, the Peshawar University team defeated Agricu­ltural University by a five-wicket margin.

In another match played at the same venue, the Islamia University team scored a comprehensive nine-wicket win over IMS Peshawar.
