Hafeez looked like under a lot of pressure despite the good position for Pakistan in the match, Team needas a Psychologist more than anything else minus egosit team coach, Waqar might have been great bowler but he was a very timid captain and now timid and egosit coach.

Umar Akmal scored 146 runs in 10 one day before World cup and scored 167 runs in 7 one days in the World cup. A total of 313 runs.... It's very good. Positive side of it is that Waqar will be fired and players like Umar Akmal, Ahmad Shehzad, Shoaib malik and Maqsood will come back in the team. Some one needs to understand that Fawad, Hafeez, Asad Shafiq, Haris and Saad Nasim are not limited over game players. Pakistan must build around Ahmad Shehzad, Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal and Sohaib Maqsood. Haris is possibly the only slow batter who could be accomodated and that too only due to his consistancy. Bangladesh cricket improved a lot in last 3 years since Asia cup they had. They are no longer a minnow and I think in very short years they may be one of the top teams, they have a formidable batting lineup and now have bowlers who can ball 145km/h which is faster than Indians ! @AR it is Not just the coach, the whole Pcb needs to sacked, correct and improved domestic cricket setup,brought back fitness and competitive cricket, Polish and coach players from young age and then five them chance to represent the country. Furthermore their should be cricket academics in interior areas of all five provinces to bring and real national team instead of a province team and call them national team.Board should be depoliticising and an able former cricket star you knows cricket should have all the,power to correct the system and introduce merit, otherwise one person every now and then will never solve the root cause of the problem.

And then Fawad can't play quality spin. I have seen him playing awqwardly against each and every spinner he faced, be it Swann, Lyon or any other. They all made him look like a number 11. Fawad, like many other pakistani batsmen is playing on and on due to one single decent nock. Asad Shafiq, Haris Sohail, Hafeez and Fawad are the players of the gone days. You may have one of them preferably Haris, but not all of them. Umar Akmal has an average 35 which is at par with many recognised OD players like for example Raina, his strike rate is the highest among present Pakistani players. What more you want from a player whom you always send in to bat when you need to score at 8 an over.

Very happy for our Bengali brothers. A well deserved win and a earned recognition as tour de force in cricket. We Pakistanis need to get off our high horses and shed the complexes we have for our south Asian heritage.

As expected, things were straight-forward for the BD team in all the ODIs. I believe BD can wrap up the whole series in similar fashion. We just have to crank it up one more notch, and I am sure we will do it given our talents in the reserve.

PCB's Governing Board must be dissolved; all cricket grounds/ stadium must be freed from "Qaabzeen" in the shape of cricket organizers who charge 10,000 to 15,000 per match from the poor teams/ players. Cricket grounds must be opened up for poor cricketers I bet cricket would flourish and new talent would come rapidly. All Air Conditioners from PCB offices, NCA, Stadiums, PCB developed grounds must also be taken off to compel organizers/ coaches, selectors to feel the heat. In the end love for the cricket players who reach in National cricket team in current situation.

Today I remember a hilarious episode on Pakistan’s satirical TV serial “Loose Talk”. Where the great satirist late Moeen Khan (RIP) acted in the role of a Bangladeshi cricket player against the TV interviewer (Anwar Maqsood). That was made at the advent of similar defeats of a Bangladeshi team in Pakistan about 15 years ago. That episode was aired not to insult Bangladesh but to point out how Bengalis were out performing Pakistanis in all other sectors of development except cricket. In that play there was a dialogue by Moeen Khan “Bangladesh Ubher Raha Hey” (Bangladesh is rising). Had that great person been alive today, he would have noticed and surely appreciated as how Bangladesh has risen in cricket --slowly but surely. Pakistan has nothing to worry--as they have an extremely rich history of cricket—they will soon recover—for sure.

Disclaimer : I am a Bangaldeshi and want to add something. I think current Pakistani team is full of promising players, you can't judge a team by one series loss whereas you have a new captain and bunch of new players. Honestly I am a bit frustrated with Pakistani bowling since most of their bowlers are experienced and as a collective unit could be threatening against any team under any conditions. The bowlers has no excuses, Bangladesh batsmen dominated them like they did not exists in the field. One more thing is, it seems like PAK management thought BD series will be a walk in the park, so they underestimated BD team on their backyard. They have been consistently produced successes in their home conditions and every now and then in overseas.Clearly no homework done by W. Yunis & Co. before the series started. Clearly Bangladesh had their games planned and playing under a great captain and support stuffs.
