KARACHI: A woman and her sons were killed when a fast-moving dumper truck ran over them while they were walking on the footpath in the Mochko area on Tuesday, according to police.
They added that Saba Sajid, 35, and her sons, Junaid, 5, and Faizan, 3, were walking near Mowachh Goth Mor on Hub River Road when the dumper truck, after hitting a bike rider, Kamran, ran them over, resulting in injuries to all four. They were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi where doctors pronounced the woman and her sons dead. The police said the driver managed to escape along with his vehicle.

Is there any control of traffic police over dumper drivers? Do they have license to drive this colossal machine which is not easy to be handle by even regular truck drivers?

The dumpster should not be difficult to trace. And if it belongs to a Company they are liable if they entrusted this truck to this heartless man. As for traffic, rules and police kindly kindly have proper legislation in place for signs, markers, information and good enforcement by the assigned police .Shortly we will have massive activity with Chinese investment ....and if infrastructure and legalese is as is apparent for years--woefully short than how will development take place. And finally Justice and relief for the injured,disabled or dead and penalties for the offenders. Al lives are precious
