IT was indeed sad news hearing about the sale of Nishat Cinema which had been inaugurated by the Late Fatima Jinnah.

There is no need for me to elaborate on the heritage value of Nishat Cinema. What has been done can not be undone. What can however be done is to buy off the cinema and turn it into a cultural museum.

I earnestly request the party leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party to chip in and save this cinema from destruction.
