ISLAMABAD: A man was killed and seven other people were injured during a clash between two groups over a land dispute on Saturday.

Police said the two groups of relatives had an ownership dispute over a piece of land in the Shah Allahdita village of Golra.

On Saturday, one of the groups constructed a room on the land which their rivals tried to demolish, leading to an armed clash between them.

The police said eight people from both the sides sustained bullet injuries and later one of them died on the spot.

The deceased was identified as Ghulam Rasool, a native of Fatehjang. He had come to the village to meet his father-in-law who construed the room on the disputed land, said the police.
