Farhan Saeed recently made news after he dedicated his Best Single Award last week at the HUM TV Awards to the families of Peshawar attack victims.

But the singer didn’t stop there — his new single ‘Tou Thori Dair’ is a heart-wrenching tribute to the soldiers who are currently fighting the extremists front in operation Zarb-e-Azb.

A joint effort of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and Farhan, the song’s lyrics and video weave a tale of a young soldier, Farhan himself, reminiscing about his beloved, Urwa Hocane, as he sits with his companions around a camp fire.

Later it shows how the young soldier has been recently betrothed to her and was made to leave her waiting on their wedding night as he was called up for duty.

This isn't the first time the army has made a recent appearance in the arts: Jal the band also released a song 'Tou Qadam Barhaye Ja' honouring the armed forces combating terrorism following Peshawar attack.

Appearing in a talk show, Farhan had mentioned that the title of the song resonated with him and reminded him of soldiers who leave everything behind for the sake of their homeland, hence he has dedicated the song to all those fighting in the operation Zarb-e-Azb.
