ISLAMABAD: The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) welcomed on Friday prospects of an intra-Afghan dialogue, which was being supported by Pakistan.

The UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Nicholas Haysom, who also heads UNAMA, reiterated the UN’s commitment for continued engagement and consultation with Pakistan.

UNAMA is a Security Council-mandated mission which assists the government and people of Afghanistan in laying the foundations for sustainable peace and development in the country.
