BAHAWALPUR: The Sadiq Public School (SPS) organised a function to observe its 61st Founder’s Day.

It was largely participated in by former and current Sadiqians, their parents, including Federal Minister of State for Education Baleeghur Rehman.

General Officer Commanding (GOC) 35 Division Maj-Gen Sadiq Ali, who gave away prizes to students, welcomed that SPS was paying special attention to the character-building of children along with educating them in accordance with the vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

SPS Principal Prof Nauman Ahmed Qureshi, in his welcome address, traced the history of the school established by the late Nawab of Bahawalpur and said under an exchange programme the school’s students were awarded 17 gold medals and 125 prizes during their recent visits to various universities in Britian. — Correspondent
