Shells fired by Indians damage houses

SIALKOT: The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) resorted to unprovoked and intensified mortar shelling on Thursday on villages along the Working Boundary.
The villages that came under fire were Charwah, Joyiaan, Harpal, Anula, Dhamaala, Bajra Garhi, Umeraanwali, Thathi Meendarwal, Rangor, Bhagiyaari and surroundings in Bajra Garhi, Harpal, Umeraanwali sectors.

According to Chenab Rangers, the Indian paramilitary forces after a two-day lull started heavy mortar shelling at 7pm which continued till late in night.
Several Indian shells landing in the fields did not explode. But many shells and bullets hit houses, causing damage to several structures.
The Chenab Rangers retaliated effectively, forcing the Indian guns to fall silent, officials said.
No casualty was reported.
The Rangers officials said that Indian border guards targeted the civilian population with small and big weapons besides firing heavy mortar shells in clear violation of the ceasefire accord.

A mortar range is a maximum 3-4 miles if at all. Why don't they allow to have villages on both sides to be so close to the border in anyways? .. It's a big security risk and encourages smuggling and human trafficking...

The picture accompanying the article shows remains of artillery shells allegedly fired by India almost identical to those shown in India, claiming to be from shells fired by Pakistan. Are both countries supplied by the same country?

who is denying that India is not firing? Yes we accept that BSF is firing shells & bullets towards pakistan but in retaliation. BSF has instructed to respond in 1:4 ratio.
To stop Indian Firing dont try to fire towards INDIA, BTW 2 women were injured yesterday & i have seen them on various news channels.

@Sunil Power shortage in India is nothing new that you would not be aware of. The power shortage in India reaches up to 17000MW in summers which is a huge shortage. This results in no power in most of the India and frequent breakdowns in cities like Delhi, Chennai etc. The major coal company of India which is Coal India is currently facing shortage of 142 million tons of coal which is a huge shortage. India is also host to one third of the worlds below poverty line population. Please dont try to show that India has ideal living conditions. Accept the problems in India and try to spend more time on doing something good for India. Best wishes from Pakistan

@Love Pakistan India has found its own solutions to the power problems. Most houses have good power back up systems and larger apartment complexes, commercial buildings and campuses have captive power plants. This holds good for all Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Power situation varies from state to state. Some states (Like Gujarat and Chattisgarh) have surplus power. Some like UP and Bihar have acute power shortages. The rest of the country is okay

civilian population is being targeted on both sides of the border. better sense between the two border forces is required in order to avoid such incidents whose primary targets are the innocent civilians. If the two forces were really loyal to their people and country, they would have stopped this. The buck lies to both countries.
