LAHORE: A man was allegedly killed by his brother-in-law in North Cantonment police precincts on Saturday.

Police said 20-year-old Ali Haider had contracted love marriage with the sister of the suspect Adeel eight months ago. The girl’s family did not approve of the marriage.

Police said the incident took place when Haider was sitting at Dhobi Ghat and Adeel approached him, opened fire at him and fled. Haider was taken to hospital where he died.

Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against Adeel on Haider’s brother Umar’s complaint.
