LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly which met here on Friday after a break of three days debated the deadly school attack in Peshawar.

Starting 54 minutes behind schedule, it witnessed low attendance with 22 members out of 371 present at the outset and 31 at the adjournment.

Food Minister Bilal Yasin tabled a motion to suspend the regular agenda in order to debate children’s massacre in Peshawar. The motion was passed unanimously.

A total of 11 lawmakers – seven from the ruling PML-N, two from the PML, one belonging to the PPP and an independent lawmaker – participated in the debate which continued for 57 minutes.
