Cabinet body meets

LAHORE:Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting of the cabinet committee on law and order on Thursday.

Overall law and order in Punjab and measures for ensuring foolproof security arrangements in educational institutions were discussed on the occasion, says a handout.

The chief minister said time had come to purge the country of terrorists and their facilitators. He said resources would be provided for the protection of life and property of citizens.

He directed that foolproof security arrangements be made at educational institutions in the province and an effective monitoring system should be devised for this purpose.

Shahbaz directed that security steps at all important places should be improved further and a comprehensive strategy be evolved with regard to effective communication system.
