Faruqi given charge of FTO

ISLAMABAD: Federal Ombudsman Salman Faruqi was given on Monday additional charge of Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) for a month.

According to a notification issued by the presidency, the incumbent FTO Abdul Rauf Chaudhry is proceeding abroad on leave.

“On the summary initiated by the ministry of law and justice and human rights, the president has approved the advice of the prime minister to allow 31 days ex-Pakistan leave with effect from 5-12-2014 to 4-1-2015 to Abdul Rauf Chaudhry, Federal Tax Ombudsman, and appointment of Wafaqi Mohtasib as acting FTO during leave period of Mr Chaudhry,” the notification said.
